ZL CF Rockers
Anybody aware of a manufacturer out there making visible CF side rocker panels for the 17-18 ZL1?

My car didnt have the CF insert so i wrapped that along with the side skirts, front splitter and a portion of the rear bumber. Pretty much everything that was black other that the grill. I paid someone to do it when i had the car wrapped in LLumar.

I have the hood, already installed the factory cf 1LE spoiler, AC cf front splitter and canards and cf rear diffuser. I will have to find a wrap that will match. Any idea what the factory rockers cost. I might wrap those and retain my stock ones. |

Gotcha.. I have seen a bunch of different CF wraps out there! maybe someone is making one that is close to what you are looking for. I am not sure how much a new set is from GM....

For me it would be a real carbon piece or leave it as it is.

I'm 100% with you on that. I am creating a ZL1 1LE A10 convert with cf parts. I already have all the other parts installed with the exception of the rear diffuser. I am waiting on AC on that. No one and I mean no one makes cf rockers for this car. If everything else on the car was black I would not be wasting my time on this. I will post pictures when done. |

Real CF is usually unidiectional. The 3x weaves they put on the surface is just a cosmetic treatment.

My ZL-1 A10 is about a week away from the dealership, and I will be taking it straight to a guy who will correct any paint issues, and PPF the entire car. I have the two CF options on the car, but have been debating back and forth if I should have the splitter, skirts and diffuser wrapped in a CF pattern material while he's at it, or just leave it alone.
I'm about 52/48 on not doing any CF wrap on the outside, but will probably wrap some trim pieces on the interior. Semi-gloss CF wrap on the shifter and instrument bezels might look pretty cool. Mark R. Albuquerque, NM |
