2018 V6 Surges

Our 2018 V6, automatic surges. When you are trying to maintain a constant speed. The car surges, you can feel and hear the exhaust noise changing. You can also see the tach change about two hundred rpm's during this.

The car accelerates fine. It seems to be more notice about around 1500 to 2000 rpms. Even if you manual shift it with paddle shifters and try to maintain a constant speed it does the same thing.

It only has 4000 miles on it. We took it to the chevy dealership and they said it was normal. Its my daughters car so i don't drive it much. I drive it some today and there is no way this is normal.

What do you guys think?

Active fuel management like the other user replied. If you look at your cluster you will see that it’s reading v4 when it does it. My 2016 doesn’t surge but it has a kind of shudder, almost sounds like fluttering. Drives me nuts but my fuel economy is great so I deal with it.
