Literally every LT1 powered car (vette/Camaro) I've heard has made these noises. My 2018 1LE SS that has just over 1,200 miles also makes these noises. I am part of the crowd that feels it's normal.
Sure it sucks but at least it's not that obnoxious piston slap my old LS1 had.

There has got to be a mod to absorb more of that that DI ticking frequency! If I had a hoist and some decibel meter or stethoscope type tools Id be able figure it out....after all the plastic engine cover masks some of it....so the possibility of masking more does exist.

Mine sounds similar. Not a bit of knock right on the start, sounds great, but maybe 5 seconds after I start it, as the RPMs are coming down from the initial rev, I get a metallic tick. Not DI tick, I know what that sounds like. Sounds like that video on the first page. It lasts for, oh, maybe 15-20 seconds or so, half a minute? As the car gets down to a normal-ish idle it goes away completely. Then it comes back any time I tip in the throttle a bit at very low speeds (low RPM, like when I leave my parking lot at the office). Foot off the gas, idling, no chirp, slip the clutch in first to get moving, get the chirp until the RPMs come up slightly. Weirdest thing, not the faintest idea what it is, why it makes that sound, or whether it will ever blow up. About 6K miles on the car now and it's done this since day 1. Oh, and once the car is entirely warmed up the chirp/tick/whatever doesn't come back under any kind of throttle.
It it gets noticeably worse I'll take it into the dealer. Until then screw it, I have more important things to spend time on. I certainly hope it never blows up but that's what the warranty is for. Though maybe if it hasn't blown up by the time I get to the end of the warranty I'll make the dealer listen to it just to be sure .

The noise we are all talking about is definitely hard to locate. I'm used to it now, but I listened to it today and it really sounds like it is under the car. It's something in or around the exhaust/trans bell housing area. At one point it sounded like it may be the exhaust gate towards the rear of the car. That would make sense since it goes away quick after the rpms settle down after initial start. Maybe the gate closes a bit? I have it locked in race mode, but it still quiets down a bit after the startup bark. It could even be the clutch rattling. Not sure if it is a dual plate clutch, but I had a McLeod RST twin disc clutch on my LS3 powered Chevelle and it made a similar sound at idle with the clutch disengaged.
Idk, it's normal though. I heard another 6th gen recently at startup.
