I'll take the top one.

I don't hate the 2019 Camaro, just dislike the first few inches and the color options.

I kinda like the fact it is different. Besides new motors are coming next yr and a Camaro with a 500hp lt1 will be a mighty fine option...

Where did you see this? Link? AFAIK the LT1 will be unchanged for 2019, at most maybe a bump to 460 hp to match the Corvette, but no WAY will a base Camaro SS have that much more hp than a base Corvette Stingray.

Sorry, my bad: next year as in 2020 MY when lt1 will get a bump to 500hp and new dohc motors will be introduced as well. According to well researched rumours...

Again, what is the link? Well researched rumors? What is this, ESPN where “sources” say but no one knows?

The only CONFIRMED DOHC V8 is the one going into the new mid-engine Corvette.

Well nothing has been officially confirmed except for the new Caddy Sport dohc motor so all else is just speculation but per Gmauthority (if my memory serves me right) here are apparently well informed predictions:

New base reworked lt1 motor: 500hp
New 5.5l dohc motor: 600hp
Ditto with TT: 800hp
Ditto plus electric motors: 1000hp

This would make sense why gm didnt bother increasing current power levels for 2019. Just imo.

There is a market engine forecast, I believe it is a document provided by a research firm, purchase only type of thing. It "predicts" LT1 production through 2020. There is nothing from GM directly on this. I think they use sources like outside suppliers and current contracts etc. for their estimations.

There is nothing "confirmed" for the mid engine Corvette. There were some CAD drawings on that forum that even showed what looked like an LTx based engine. Keep in mind that there is not even a "confirmed" mid engine Corvette, much less anything that will be powering it.

There is nothing "confirmed" for the mid engine corvette because officially the mid engine corvette does not exist yet lol

Yeah technically you're both right. That mid-engine car that's been spied on might not even carry a Corvette badge - it could go to Cadillac and GM is just doing a really good job at an end around. Don't count that out.
