Redesigned Key Fob 100% Custom
Hello all, I recently got a 2017 Camaro and there are a few things that feel cheap to me. I like to make "things my own" so the first thing I'm going to take on is completely redesign the key fob. The only part that won't be remade is the motherboard itself. I have a few ideas but right now it will be made of polished rhodium brass with a plastic strip containing the buttons covered with black leather and red stitching. It will be a robust, modern and industrial style key fob held together with viable M3 screws. This idea is in its infant stages right now and will likely take a few weeks to compete. I've been wanting to do something like this for a while, but the price of these, and mainly, lack of time, has kept me from it. I'd be happy with something mostly metal due to the abuse mine gets in my pocket. It would take some engineering to make sure the radio antennae could still transmit however. so I've found a site that has the keys for about 90 bucks. Design it so's lint doesn't get inside. My wife's caddy fob's are notorious for that.
