Does the Bluetooth just suck?

Every time i use Bluetooth or Apple car play (phone plugged in) everyone says they can barely hear me when it’s on the in-car speakers. I’ve never had anyone complain in my 2013, so I thought it was kind of weird. I also have the CarPlay and I try and ask Siri to call or text people and it just gives me a never ending wave sign like she’s waiting for me to speak.

Does it just suck or is there something wrong with my radio?

Might be crApple. My old HTC one M8 and new Samsung S9 both work just fine both ways (wired and BT) in my car.

I haven't set my phone up yet... Does it have to be plugged in for car play to work? can't do it over bluetooth?

Correct, must be wired to use CarPlay (and Android Auto).

I have no issues with my Apple Play. Works great for me. voice text works, upload maps and directions work, never had a problem with people hearing me or me hearing them. Can't wait for the next generation Apple Play. Now try Ford MS Sync, that really sucks.

I have no problems with BT, works just fine. Android Auto needs to be cabled.

I don't have any issues with people hearing me, but I do have issues with the Bluetooth staying connected. It will connect, disconnect itself a few minutes later, then reconnect; continually does this throughout the time I have it enabled.

It's your mic. the bluetooth isn't a problem. Very common issue.

I may be working on an aftermarket fix (replacement for mic) - if you'd be interested in buying this PM me and it might motivate me to work harder on it.

No problems with Bluetooth and my Note 8. Android Auto has been finicky a couple times, but overall it's very reliable. The voice search has also performed well. No complaints.

Hmm. Thanks everyone for all the replies, I had a feeling it was just me! Is this something that should be covered under warranty? I’d imagine the radio working as advertised on a 9 month old car should be covered.

Chevy should fix it if it’s broken, not me. But, thanks for the offer, I’ll keep it in mind.
