New ZL1 1LE (from a Z51)... WOW

Fellas,

I had an SS 1LE and loved it, but was offered an insane deal on a Z51 stingray and so I took that and drove it for about 5 months. Over the past month or so I started looking into ZL1's and never could quite make the deal. Last night I took a ride down to a dealership to look at a MN6 ZL1 and as soon as we pulled in, this ZL1 1LE was sitting there and I knew I was coming home with it. After a little negotiating we agreed on an amazing deal and I brought it home.

Let me just say, WOW!!! Can't wait to get this thing on Road Atlanta! I will need to get a spare set of wheels and decent street tires since I plan on driving it quite a bit.

What an amazing car... I never thought I'd pull off a ZL1 1LE. VERY HAPPY

Looks bad ass, been to Sebring with one of those on the track and it looked so good as it went down the track. I assumed my car looked somewhat as good haha.

Thanks bud, yeah I've seen a few of these at various events and I've drooled over all of them (ZL1 and ZL1 1LE included). I've never been a big wing fan, but when functional the child in me is more pronounced

I forgot how much dust these brakes produce in ONE day of driving haha.

GREAT to be back in a Camaro guys (THANKS). I tend to go from vette to Camaro and back, but this one is a keeper!

(the SS 1LE I had until January) Oddly, I am not generally a white car guy.

I may have actually tee'd off my hose and bought some quick disconnect and shutoff valves and attached them to my pressure washer. It now sits very close to the garage entrance. I may or may not hose off my rims after spirited runs on anyone of these:

Awesome idea... I shall see you on these routes, and Home Depot will see me tomorrow for hose attachments haha.

Yeah I am not willing to compromise the braking on this one and convert to 1521's (yet).

Nice color choice. I still like Arctic Blue the best. They will hold value due to their low production numbers.

Awesome!
I, like yourself, have been to and fro between Corvettes and particularly ZL1's. Had bad luck with 2 C7 Z06 Laguna blue vettes. Had 2 C6 Z06's and 1 C6 ZR1. Valve issue got me out of those. I wanted to sleep at night.
I now do! My opinion is yes the Vettes are nice. Just too many dern flaws for that kind of money.
The Gen 6 ZL1? Not one issue and the thing looks like Lucifer himself! (Not that I've ever met him or hope to.)
No regrets and I'm not looking back. Mine is "Red hot". I love all the colors. The car is well engineered without all the issues which can easily be found on the Corvette forum.
Congratulations and welcome to the awesome machine Al Offenhauser and his group have built us.

It's a really great looking Camaro, congrats. I have a friend who owns a ZL1 and his is white. It goes!!! Enjoy the Twisty's.
