Granted, with a manual transmission I think that is true, it can be a drivers race.

I would check the stall converter Pray had on his 10.0 run.

Circle D are the only ones you should be looking at. Mine is around 3,500 and now I cant get my car to hook up It need a little more tire and suspension work.

OP wrote"Boost: Very minimal / Daily Driveable All components and accessories to handle boost such as intercoolers, etc Ported Intake?" Does not sound like he is talking about 00 rated drag radials and a prep-track. On the street the quicker boost from a PD is not usable. Any supercharger with no other mods at all will exceed any normal ultra high performance summer tire to any reasonable speed.

Thanks bro I think i'm going to go with stage 1 from the weapon x about 4500 not bad. Would the supercharger go good with MSD intake manifold??

I was never given the answer if you got a hook up on your Magnuson setup?
I guess I just focused more on the information the OP asked for, which was within a budget that your Magnuson doesn't fit into. I think this has been addressed, twice now. I'm confused if you pay what everyone else pays and get your hands dirty on all of your previous builds why you would pay someone else to bolt up your Magunson, especially when you have no problems taking it all back off when you plan to do your own forged internals? |

I like my Procharger setup...doesn't have the instant torque of the Maggie but it is also a lot more driveable. For instance, coming out of Turn 12 at PIR getting out to the long straight, it is nice to be confident that I won't suddenly break traction when I accelerate post-apex.

1. I said there are always deals if you look for them. Yes. I always find deals. Sometimes The deals are not monetary. Sometimes they are. I am perfectly willing to pay more sometimes too. 2. I said I get my hands dirty, that doesn’t mean I do it all myself. I am not a mechanic, but I enjoy working on cars. It’s a peaceful distraction from my day job. So yes, I get my hands dirty doing stuff, but I would never trust myself to be the guy doing it alone (I wouldn’t have the right tools or know how). NEVER. I just love learning about it and helping where I can. Make sense? 3. As far as OP, he made a good choice for his setup. Anyone who buys into the garbage that the blowers have too much torque down low are either foolish or simply haven’t driven the cars to know what they are talking about. My Procharger Vette was breaking the tires loose at 50mph all day long. So I had to learn how to control the throttle. It’s no different with a Maggie or an LT4 blower like chosen here (and present on stock cars from Mustangs, to corvettes Ron camaros). A driver has to learn how to drive with the blower...if it’s 3/4 throttle like a Procharger, or 1/3 throttle like an LT4 blower...still have to learn to drive. The fast list shows my point clearly. Not one Procharger without a Converter. Because that’s the smart way to go with a centrifigul. If you aren’t racing, don’t worry about it. You will have a blast with any of them...and be able to make any stock car look like it’s in slow motion.

I wonder how many experienced drivers on here will take offense to you saying the PD blowers aren't the problem it's the drivers...?
Let it be noted you still refuse to admit that you most likely received a generous discount from a team member on your setup. And I don't know what fast list you are looking at, because I clearly see the top two are Procharger equipped and showing a 1 second lead on third place on down..... |

Yes. the driver adjusts to the amount of torque by altering throttle. Same is true on a centri car. You just have a different throttle position. With neither setup is full throttle possible from a dig. Yes. Procharger cars are at the top...they also add converters to make the torque much higher from the start and to stay in the powerband during shifts (my point). No. I don’t know about sweetheart deals. I know that the Magnuson by itself is the price equivalent to a Procharger and a converter, which you need to have similar results...that’s my point. I did find a number of deals at the time I bought mine, with sales at the time. I did have a hookup with getting work done by Laynlo. He was meticulous, but he also did much more than just the blower. For anyone in St. Louis or near KC, can’t recommend him enough. He doesn’t sell stuff, but does awesome work. I got a price I was happy with buying direct from Magnuson. I truthfully don’t remember exactly what I spent (because I am in pretty deep with all my mods now), but it was more than a Procharger by itself. If I knew then what I know now, it would have been cheaper to order from JRE because he includes a tune for all of his sales...and now I have bought all of my next round adds from him. It’s not that it’s the cheapest deal, but I appreciate the value for his support. On this car, I didn’t want to change the converter (this go around)...because it changes the way the car drives. That being said, I also have times where I miss it...no right answer...just different feel. Again, do as not to jack the thread, the OP made his decision already and it seems to make great sense as he selected the lowest cost option, a pd blower with incredible results on other cars. There are different ways to make fast cars. Looking forward to the results from OP.
