So,.. I called chevy and asked them. Apparently, they only have the left side listed as well. How could they offer the left and not the right?

That's a great thought about cutting it down! I'm going to look.

Assuming that doesn't work I think my best choice is to consider aftermarket options. What do you find to be the best? I don't mind spending the money, but I'd rather not have to throw out the whole assembly every two years. It just feels wasteful.

I did some research and apparently, Bosh Icon is the way to go. I don't think it has refills either, but it's super low profile and all built into one so it can't be refilled.

I'm going to get them and give it a shot!

Was the GM insert part number ever confirmed for the right side?
