Autoshops for maintenance that know Camaros in SoCal??
I am trying to find a shop I can trust for oil changes/dif fluid/tires/brakes, etc and are very familiar with Camaros/Corvettes. My apartment lease has a strict no-working-on-cars rule and I don't know anyone with a garage besides my father and he isn't down with it (More like his wife).
I want to avoid dealership pricing and support independent shops. Got burned at a dealer and an independent shop (both joyrided   ). I am around the Thousand Oaks/Agoura Hills area.Not looking for mod shops but if they do maintenance and the cost is reasonable/competitive, I would be plenty happy to take my business to them. I would appreciate any suggestions!!!!

I would vote for A&A, but not sure if they do routine maint?
I am in Camarillo and use this shop - J&K Automotive http://www.jkautomotive.com/. Very talented young guy who grew up around engines. Rebuilds them, Drag Races his 1,000=HP blown 69 Camaro and a front engine rail, and works an a drag race team as a mechanic. I trust him with all my cars! Just did rotors on my 17 Camaro, and he does my track prep. Be sure that Matt (owner's son) is the guy, as I am vouching for him.

Thank you both, especially you, Mike. That sounds just like the place I am looking for and that is about a 10 minute drive too! I will be sure to ask for Matt.
That track prep would be great too. I have gone once and I wouldn't mind having an inspection for track as well. Should I mention you at all? |
