Anyone have a remote tune done on there ZL1 - Page 2

I had mike at vengeance remote tune mine and it runs good. One strange thing it does is when it's colder than about 50 degrees it will misfire a bit around 5500rpm and up but anything warmer it runs hard.
Mods.
Kooks headers.

ported tb
no cats
18% lower pulley.
Firecore wires.

I Just did the fire core wires and drove it a couple times now when it was around 50 degrees and zero misfires.

You might want to give Kaizenspeed a try here in Kennewick, WA. They specialize in LS and LT engine building/tuning. About 4 hours from you.

Really close to the same mods. My lower is a little smaller but that can be changed really easy. Did you buy HP tuners or go EFI live when Mike did it? How was the process/communication?

The fact that you lost .55 seconds and 12 MPH is mind blowing. You'd better not go WOT in that thing or drive it at all until you get some tuning done. Your car is a sick puppy right now.

I've heard nothing but good about Vengeance's remote tuning as well. I wouldn't hesitate to go with either Ted or Vengeance.

Zl1steve, if the problem does persist, you're more than likely getting knock or running out of fuel with 18% on 91/93. I'd be careful if it keeps doing it, you'll likely need Meth injection to help it out.

Hey TDS. i just talked to Kaizenspeed And have an appointment to have mine tuned with hp tuners. They seem to really know there stuff. Call and talk to nick, mine will be there on the 29th of may.

It is not knock i can data log with my efi live software.

So you must think there is something more you need out of a tune.

TDS I would recommend Wongs Performance Engineering in Vancouver. I have many friends that have had their cars tuned there.

Tom was the first person I talked to before I did anything. He has not done one of these and didn't seemed like he was that into it.

That dude attempted to tune my mustang and failed. This was about 6 years ago. I ended up having bob kurgan who is a well know ford tuner send me a tune via mail and hit it first try.

I spoke with Tom about a week ago as well. He clearly had no interest in tuning my car either. Odd.
