Can't do that and it's not part of the PDI. Stupid on the dealers part not to align car after. That's some basic stuff. |

I also had a tire issue. The fronts started cupping and making what I thought was a bad bearing noise. Well to make a long story short the dealer fixed the alignment and replaced both front tires. Also against my concerns of them damaging my wheels. So they spent 7 weeks trying to get those repaired and ended up having to buy a full set on ebay just to replace the fronts. The car had less than 6000 miles. I even had to ask about all this just to get them to even think about it. The funny thing was they tried to tell me that my ZL1 had the R compound tires and I had to educate them in the difference between a ZL1 and 1LE. Geesh. Needless to say the advisor got fired and I had complained about it on the survey. You would think if the surveys acount for their pay that the advisors would make sure all your concerns are well taken care of. To this day I still can't figure that one out. Don't expect me to lie on a survey to make you look good for not doing your job.

There's something fundamentally wrong with the relationship between GM and its dealers. It seems that the surveys are optional. My local dealer stopped taking surveys several years ago. Why are they optional? Having said that, my dealer is pretty responsive, because it's a one-store family business. The big chain dealers are horrible. |

Similar situation. I made it 12,000 miles on my 2016 Camaro New. The back tires were needed replaced and I figured "performance tires don't last" (which is true).
The dealer stated I needed a rear alignment and I'm thinking sure they just want some money the car is still new. So I move on to a tire shop and get tires...Same thing. Tire shop stated rear needed aligned. So from factory (not even changing suspension) the front was spot on and the rear was designed to eat tires...while my case wasn't bad, still it shouldn't have been an issue. |

When I bought my '16 2SS from a private party he told me that there was an alignment problem when he bought it new. After 3K miles he chewed through the rears, right down to the steel cords, which were replaced under warranty by the dealership. After chewing through the second set of rears the dealership did an alignment which seems to have corrected the tire wear. I replaced all 4 tires after purchase and had my preferred auto shop check the alignment (I don't trust dealership service departments as far as I can spit). He said it was a little off but close and that the original tire wear problem looked like it was a toe in problem right from the factory. I'm going to watch the wear very closely on my tires, hopefully the alignment is good now.
