Ford family holds a huge amount of the super voting shares and holds several board seats. Still the family business. Hence GM purchase won't happen.......l.without something hugely significant.

I dunno the merger could happen as both companies become irrelevant with shrinking car markets and China's emerging market dominance that we are handing over to them.
An interesting thing to think about would be the merger of the Mustang and Camaro. Introducing the Camtang or the Musaro!
