So my question is, if I go with a procharger, should I just stick with the P1 or upgrade to the D1 and also, should I upgrade to the stage 2 intercooler. This will probably be the only mod I do to the car. I am not going to build the motor or do anything crazy to it because it is my DD. Is a procharger ok to use on a daily driver, don't know much about them. Finally, where is the best place to buy one, I seen someone post that they only paid 4800 for theirs. Can anyone get this price. It was a toss up between a procharger and a whipple but after seeing the price difference and the easier install, I figured I would just stick with a procharger unless you guys change my mind. Thanks, Sorry for the long post, just wanted to cover all the basics. Easy as Pie... Standard system with P1SC1 is all you need. The Stage 2 intercooler is awesome, and more then enough. Bang for the buck awesome. Then add a meth system for cheap, and a smaller pulley and gain 75-100hp After that do a cam swap for another 100hp All on the P1SC The same Stage 2 intercooler And pump gas. No reason for D1SC, unless your going above 750 rwhp. No reason for headers at all, unless your just wanting a sound change. Quote: I don´t think you can get it at that price unless you are a Procharger dealer, but shop around for the best price, House of Boost in Kansas is a good option as a vendor, send an email or call Chad. They are a great shop, that's cranked out a ton of these new Camaros. This may help also

I think you should just call procharger.

Would the D1 produce more horsepower than the P1SC in the same condition worth the extra $250 price difference in head units? |

Anyone that quotes "It will make XXXXXX HP" hasn't been around enough LT1/LT4 cars. They each vary in what HP they can support based on pump output. Then adding "E" to the mix just makes that variable even harder to nail down. |

So help me understand this. I'm on a forum full of vendors and professional tuners that make a living building and tuning on LT1 and LT4 vehicles and you feel that none of these tuners can come forward and answer what area of power they notice cars on their dynos starting to show the car's demand for fuel within their software while using different fuel platforms, along with what fuel was used to get an average area of them all? I've had people outside of this forum confirm they are running D1 head units with an equal to stage 2 GPI cam with +32% fuel lobe and effectively use an LT4 system with low side booster and running E85 and meth put down 800 whp with no issues. I have even spoke with a person running an ECS system with stock cam using LT4 fuel system and lash cap getting around 600whp with E60 fuel and 7.5-8psi boost.... Now go back through my thread and see how many people have told me it's not possible to even run E85 with forced induction without buying a ridiculous $5k weapon x fuel system.....I am still asking this, because I am waiting for the right people to show up that can provide these answers... Out of this entire thread Dan is the only person (thank you) that has provided an answer related directly to what I am trying to run, the rest are either reps for Magnuson, or people telling me about their setup that is nothing like what I am going with here, making it a completely moot point unless they are running similar boost and the fuel I am inquiring about. Hopefully you can understand that it's hard to accept the answers given when people are saying it's not do-able yet people are telling me they are running it, and then some....So hopefully some reputable tuners can hop on this thread and confirm some of this for me. |

I am just here telling you honestly that your car can make a wide range of power given your modifications plan. And that biggest dictator with the power it makes will be fuel delivery. Since I have no skin in the game as far as fuel delivery or working on your car, I have no reason to sugar coat it. Here is an example of the type of differences I am trying to explain... Both are cars that I tuned myself, on the same dyno. Car #1: Cam, Pump 91, 13psi boost...LT4 Factory HPFP ran out at 667 rwhp Car #2: Cam, Pump 91, 13psi boost...LT4 Car made 801 rwhp, no fuel issues at all. A few weeks later, car #1 replaced his HPFP with another factory pump, and now the car has no pressure issues. So yes, you can make PLENTY of power with your combo. But to nail down an exact HP would be hard to do. But just like the car #2 I listed above, a LOT of power can be made when its all working as it should. ![]() My suggestion, get a blower on her... and see how much power you can make with YOUR car. Make the changes as needed to fuel your power goals. Don't buy anything you don't need.

Having had cars with both the Maggie and ProCharger style of blower, I really prefer the ProCharger which I have on the Camaro because it is a lot easier to launch.

I think I am going to try a different route and go from there.
I really hope my answers don't come off rude on here, none of them were in a negative tone or meant to be disrespectful. Thanks for everyone who took the time to comment on this thread. |
