Emergency crews get paid if they sit in the station house or save a life.
Doesn't cost more to do either.

Wow, that's a heck of a drop. Good thing he is ok. As far as distracted driving, it happens every day. I see it most often when I am on my Ducati as I am hyper sensitive to the drivers around me. Their little mistakes can mean my life.

Wow. Glad he's OK.
I know that interchange well, drove it daily for 4 years. The highway goes from 4-3 lanes so lots of knuckleheads, tourists, etc. always changing lanes at the last second. No guardrails/barrels in the center of that split either... just a patch of grass before the drop to the road below. Looked like he hit the road and VERY lucky he didn't land on and kill anyone down below! |
