Honest question: Did Team Camaro change after the 5th gen? When the 5th gen was released and through the end, it never took design cues from other vehicles (albeit maybe a little from Corvette). They had unique grilles, headlights, and taillights. Gen 6 rolls around and now we have the LED strip in the headlights like the Cruz and bigger somewhat "D" shape lower grille like the Malibu and Cruz. Going from 2013-2014 they said they're making the upper grille opening smaller for aerodynamics and because not a lot of air was passing through anyways. Now with the refresh we're back to the huge upper grille like on the original 5th gen. Just seems like the design team is all over the place.

I remember the refresh of the 5th Gen and at the time (didn't own a Camaro) I was fine with most of the changes except for those gawd awful tail lights that looked as generic as possible. The front grill changed a little, but overall nothing major.
The 6th gen refresh, to me, looks bad. The front end is almost completely different and it really does look cheap, like it belongs on a 4cyl econo-car, not what is supposed to be, which is an aggressive Camaro (especially one with a V8 in it...it looks the worst!). The rear end looks out of place too, the rounded tail lights when there aren't any body lines to match it. The '16-18 tails look so much better because they actually match the lines of the car. I don't know what that design is at the bottom of the bumper, almost like it's wearing a belt too tight and the love handles are poking out. The wheels...yuck. Stock '16-18 SS wheels were nothing extreme, but they fit. The 1LE wheels are the best looking wheel chevy has done yet, IMHO. The ones I'm seeing on the '19 again look like they were designed by Honda or something. Overall, this refresh looks like it could be the return of the Chevy SS, it's more family sedan looking than a what it should be, which is a muscular, mean looking Camaro. They could have slapped two more doors on the rear and called it the new Chevy SS and most would probably be okay with that, but this is seems like it's trying to tame the Camaros styling, not enhance it.

interesting thought that if this was the design they came out with.... how bad were the other ideas???? lol I can't imagine that meeting and them coming to the conclusion that "yes this is perfect, this is what we want." and being ok with it!

On a separate note do you guys think the 1SS 1LE price will rise?? i hope not.

Is there a poll on here asking who likes the refresh and who doesn't? Maybe GM should poll this site before making changes like this. Sales surely wont' be good on this atrocity.

In the six months I was trying to decide and looking at cars, the base price 1LE with PDR went from $45,700 to $46,295, so chances are, yes, the price will go up.
