A10.
Headlights
Tails
New icons on screen.

Its really, really grown on me, the 2016/7/8 will start to look a bit dated pretty soon, even though they are very good looking cars.

The general public couldn't really tell the difference between the 5th and 6th gens besides those of us more hardcore fans. Just as many could tell the difference between the i4/v6/v8 just by looking at them. Just yesterday someone told me "hey man nice Shelby" about my car..... The Camaro team stepped up and made great looking different front ends to set them apart from the 5th gen and the 2016-18.

The front fascia is nice IMO. Obviously the biggest change to differentiate it from previous models. It totally deviates from the regular Camaro lineage, but is that so bad? Everything can't stay the same with each generation. Looks have to evolve as the car evolves, and the Camaro is changing from a muscle car to a sports car. I like all the photoshop renditions people have done here, but they all look similar to the current 6th gen, and the Camaro team wanted to make it different than the looks we've seen over the last few years.

I don't really get the bowtie complaint. The Ford Raptor literally has "FORD" as the split between the grill, damn mercs have those massive dinner plate emblems on their grille split too on some models. Would people be happier if the bowtie was 5x bigger so it was in-line with the grille split rather than within it? I sure wouldn't. Way too flashy. The current placement is a little more "victory in silence" than "f*ck you, I am FORD" like the Raptor haha.

While I do prefer the 2016-18 tails, I like the new ones too. They just better not sequentially blink or I'll lose my mind in a Camarovan.

That quote Mr. Wyndham has on his signature keeps coming to my mind.

Keep the faith ya'll.

Tail lights. And rear overall. It is a big improvement compared to old one.

I have about 7 months left on this current 16' i leased back in late 15'. Regardless i have my mind set out on another Camaro SS and even know the incentives wont be great at all in the beginning for the 19', i cant get enough of my LT1 and the performance it produces. 10 speed and the extras they have implied so far for the 19' i definitely would be happy with for the next few years to come. The refresh grew on me faster then i imagined it would, and basically made my mind up about whats next for me. In the end, it is all about what you like $ and want. Glad this thread went farther then i thought, on a positive note that is....

I think the new hood is pretty trick

However, I prefer the nostrils, as they look bad ass. The new hood is sedate in comparison, but cool and clean look.

As for the nostrils, these are a PITA as whenever I wash the car or get caught in the rain, the engine gets wet and I get water spots on the engine cover and radiator valance panel. I wonder if the new hood-heat extractor is different in that regard.

I really like the whole SS overall but the hood really stands out to me , the rear end and tail lights are not doing much for me. Can't wait to see the manual only cars to show up , i think in person and when more photos show up a lot of people will come around to its new looks . I hope they have one in Carlisle for the Chevrolet Nationals in June.

There have been so many good comments that I decided to reply to this with a greatest hits that mirror my own opinion.

Taming down the LS and LT models is also a step in the right direction. It still looks sporty, enough so that it won't chase people away, but refined and civilized enough that it may draw some more folks to it that aren't looking for an aggressive car. Yes, there are many in that market.

In a convertible form, it looks like a proper representation of a late 1960s boulevard cruiser.

Like they say, there's no such thing as bad publicity. Remember when the 6th gen. started to be delivered to dealerships ? It was like GM wanted to keep it a secret. Besides certain enthusiast websites and magazines, hardly anybody knew there was a new Camaro. Similar styling to the 5th gen. and increased prices didn't help either.

The point being, many people, including non-Camaro fans, now know there is a new Camaro because of the outrage on social media about the new styling. Might make people say they have to see this new one in person when they start to be delivered to dealerships to make a final decision on the styling. Me personally, I hated the re-style at first. I am warming up to it as the days go by.

BTW, I assume "mercs" refer to a Mercury? How does the 2019 Mercury refresh look and how are they expected to sell? Just wondering. Like the RS refresh the best.

Nope, Mercedes.

Was referring to something like this:

Likely mostly the same, software and minor tweaks are the only thing that separate it from the Ford version
