What’s the best axle back ??
Hi guys,
I’m looking for aggressive sound on wot. No drone. If you can provide any sound clips i’d Appreciate it. I have a 2016 A8 |

I went with the S-Type Axle back. One of the BEST mods I have done...... Here is a sound clip, and it's pretty accurate!

Borla S-Type...here is my clip on the dyno after getting my Procharger put in...he had it in "Tour" mode so it doesn't open up until 0:06...but kind of cool hearing the transition:

Borla S Type sounds amazing, but it depends what kind of volume you are looking for. If just an axleback it is not too much louder than the stock NPP.
I went with MBRP, but now that I will be adding catless headers, xpipe and midpipes with AFM delete I will be putting the stock system back on and then looking into a new system. Hoping I can find some people with different exhaust setups and headers in the Houston area. |

Borla ATAK is pretty damn aggressive, very racecar sounding. Borla S Type still sounds pretty mean, but not as loud and raspy as the ATAK. I've found that everyone's definition of "aggressive" is a little different. The video posted above doesn't really do justice to the sound in person, but it is a pretty close representation.

I had the standard exhaust on my Camaro SS and it was just way too quiet.. I chose the Borla ATAK axleback. Great aggressive sound, yet not obnoxious and no drone while cruising. It is more aggressive sounding than NPP for sure.

Check the California section.. someone was (if it hasn't sold yet) has an Axle Back Borla Atak exhaust for sale... used with 5k miles on it..but asking only 800 or so for it.. right in your neck of the woods to boot.
