I really think the only true "Con" about my 1LE is that it's not a 2SS..... which is no big deal for me but sometimes it would be nice to have the heated seats/steering wheel.

With that said the biggest things to keep in mind about the 1LE since you don't plan on tracking yours so you won't be going trough brakes like some of us would be the higher cost/not as long lasting tires vs. a regular SS.

I for one think that even if you aren't a track rat the extra $6,500 is absolutely worth it, especially if you like the looks, then all of the improved performance is just a bonus for you.

Pros: Its just simply amazing.

Cons: Nothing besides I would prefer a little more bass with the sound system. Putting the exhaust into track mode fixes that though.

Simple, price for one. I tried specing a 2SS "1LE" before the official version came out, adding the 1LE parts except the E-diff, just as you say, but it came out WAY more expensive, something like 51-53K at least, if I remember. Things like wheels and tires bump the price way up.

The clear-armor guys convinced me to do the matte "stealth" protection on the hood. It looks good.

+1

I see no point to an SS without the 1LE package.

What will be the future value of the 1LE option years down the road? The 1LE makes the car much more limited and that alone can get some of that money back years down the road. It is expensive, but I really think it takes a very good car to another level. People notice the 1LE in a way they don't for even an SS.

Exactly! I don't track mine. Aggressive street cornering is insane. Don't regret it one bit.

Value down the road to a private seller might be a few grand to the right buyer, but I don't see it as being a collector car like a GNX or something.

It's not cheap, but shopping around I got a '18 1SS 1LE with PDR and the glowtie for $39,000* which is $1,005 more than a base 1SS sticker.
Fresh, not sitting on the lot since last year.

*not the OTD price

Pros- Absolutely the best performance bargain out there. You get a ton for your money with the 1LE package.

Cons- $6500 extra. I personally really wish they would have used Michelin PS4S tires instead of the Goodyear Supercar 3 tires it comes with.

I have 17.5K miles on my stock tires

Randy Pobst said the biggest con was that he didn't own one.

The wheels and spoiler are great. If you're not gonna track your car you won't miss anything else.
