Xpel, Xpel, Xpel. Installer removed the ZL1 letters, number after making a template to replace in exact same spot. Used double sided tape to replace. No problems.

Hood insert removed from car, Emblems removed, film applied, emblems replaced. Cannot tell there's any film.

For mine, they made a template, took the emblems off, put Xpel on and then reglued the emblems with the template getting them in the right position. Perfect!

Yup had mine wrapped in xpel the following week after I picked it up. I noticed a scratch on the insert when I dropped it off and asked about paint correction before the wrap. Was told it would be dishonest for anybody to say you need correction before xpel and if the scratch was still noticeable he would pull off the film correct it and wrap again at no charge. Needless to say I can't find the scratch but there is no way for me to know if he did buff it out.

Does anyone know if there's a template I can download and print out for putting the badges back on the hood insert after the XPEL?

I carbon fiber wrapped mine at a fraction of the cost of the insert! turned out looking real nice.

I opted to have my film cut and placed over the emblems. It's barely noticeable, and I didn't want to risk any problem removing the emblems or having the emblems placed back over the film.

Entire front end of my car including insert is covered with Suntek film. Emblems on the insert were removed and replaced with new ones.

Printed out Glen E's instructions and followed them to the letter. CF is perfect and has stayed so for 5000 miles. Do have a few small paint chips, but that's inevietable for a DD.

So no one knows if there's a template available to easily make sure the badges on the hood insert are positioned properly?
