I expect the 7th gen to be a complete departure as it coincides with the end of front-engine Corvette production in 2021.

This SS looks like a Silverado.
which to my eyes, is also hideous

Thank God they aren't changing the way the ZL1 looks because that will be my next purchase. I love my 6th gen. It looks mean, menacing, and stands out. This looks like the Camry had a baby, and doesn't know if a Charger or the Civic is the father.

As a life long GM lover and GM owner of all models, (I also own a 17 Chevy Z71 which I love) I was really hoping this redesign was going to be way better than what they rolled out in 2016 because I think the looks are terrible. Especially the rear end from the drivers door back. Reminds me of my neighbors Hyundai Tiberoun. Now it looks even WORSE! So without further delay, papers are being signed right now on my new 2018 Dodge Charger R/T in octane red. Cant believe I am doing it, but Chevy has lost the Camaro's great looks. I cant even look at it. So frustrated with GM design team. Hopefully I will be back with Gen 7 but the way Gen 6 left off I am not holding my breath that's for sure.

GM listened to those who criticized the modern, 'european' sport looking design. And went back to traditional Camaro 5th gen muscle car look. That's an odd regression. This is going to be as controversial as the Mustang refresh if not more. It kind of has an import/muscle look to it now. I love Camaro so it can grow on me but the current design is cleaner.

Absolutely horrible, ‘18 sales will go up. Then once ‘19’s take over at the plant, sales will plummet.

LOL, 2018 charger R/T you say, and the looks of a 6th Gen are terrible? I would take my 2016 2SS over that 2018 beat to death looking charger any day of the year. Enjoy your ride!

Your opinion just like mine. I am not a blind lover. The Charger looks great Camaro doesn't. My opinion, in a "forum".

I think we can conclude that the 2019 ZL1 1LE will be peak 6gen design going forward. The amazing front end with this great refreshed backend will be the PERFECT combination.

It is funny because I was among those that really liked the 2014 5gen rearend refresh and its 1gen inspired retro tail lights (first gen also had quad depending on the year). So the 2014-2015 ZL1 was the best 5gen look for me also. But I ended up not liking the 2014 refresh front end all that much aside from the Z28... and I'm not a fan of these refresh front ends either. But here I am loving the return to the quad lights because I feel it just fits the backend better here.

2.0T ILE. Looks a bit better than the black bar, IMO.

I think the RS looks fine. Actually pretty classy in silver.

The good news for Chevy is I live in Camaro-crazy Missouri and NOBODY has a SS. I mean, maybe 1 in 20. I'm including the 5th gen. I'm convinced all of the SS owners post here because NOBODY else seems to have one.

My biggest issue with it is actually the aerial shot. It looks even more like a Charger. No curves at all.
