For what it's worth I drove a fair bit this winter on them in 25 degrees. No damage. I kept and eye on it though. Had to brave cold nights getting to VIR and NCCAR for early season sessions. I even drove through snow for a few miles before vir. Have 11 - 12 heat cycles since with no evidence of a negative effect. I don't recommend it all but thought I'd offer.

Great info hear! At least now I won’t be worried about driving to work in the 50’s and heading home in the 30’s. It stays cold at night here in NH until May.

Just an observation - I looked at a used ZL1 1LE the other day. It was a GM executive car with 10,000 miles that a used car dealer bought at auction.
The right front tire had a lot of cracks on the outside edge where the tread meets the sidewall. At first I thought it was part of the tread pattern, but on closer observation the cracks were completely random and the drivers side tire had no cracks. Some of the cracks were 2 inches long and were all about a half inch apart from each other. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this? I've had r-compound tires crack on me in the past. Thought maybe the Goodyears would of had a solution to this problem. |

I have not seen it, myself. I've been reading the consensus seems to be that it only happens if the tires/car is moved while really cold. |

True - if it was a GM employee in Detroit driving it this winter. I'm sure that car saw some cold temperatures.

Manual says don't drove below 40F. Having driven a few times in the 50s I frankly wouldn't do anything less than 50 on these tires. Not only do to risk damage to the tires you compromise traction. If you want to drive when it's colder do yourself a favor and switch to different tires.
