Could have been a station that cuts their "93" with a lower octane rating.

Sounds like you got some seriously bad gas or you pump the diesel in by mistake.

Just joking about the diesel but I wouldn't be surprised if you got a bunch of water in with your gas you might want to put some seafoam in there

I was going to make a post on something similar that happened to me. i was driving and had a huge backfire and the car lurched. I pulled over to see what happened. Nothing visual was wrong but I had my rpms drop to zero and the car was acting funny and also had a code. Limped it to the dealer which was close and they did a scan and it had a oil sensor code.. I left it at the dealer and received a call the next day that the wiring harness had come into contact with the ac compressor belt. They said it was a mistake at the factory. Might not be your problem. Just a thought . Hope you get it worked out.

That sound more electrical than fuel related.

hes obviously has a electrical issue. bad gas wont give you a cam sensor code or stop your tachometer from working.

Looking through your past history, you've had all sorts if electrical issues with your car. Have you done mods that involved tapping into the electrical system?

I would think if the issue started after a gas stop that you got the wrong or bad gas. Happened to my cousin's trans am. The tanker truck accidentally put diesel in the 93. The gas station paid to fix the damage on everyone's cars.

Sounds too extreme to be just bad gas. Most likely other issues like electrical or flatout what jimmypop13 said.

I know the camaro is super sensitive when it comes to gas... At least mine is. If gas is going bad on it, much rougher idle and most of the time I get p0420 because of it. Then I go get fresh gas and code as well as the rough idle goes away...

ps: I do not drive my car during winter so I tend to leave gas much longer than it can be consumed.

OP, do you have headers, or are you still stock?

Hmmm, I thought Mobil was listed as a "top tier" gas?

I use Mobil exclusively, no issues. It's not the gas.

Check all of your spark plug wires. One might be off. Happened to my GMC Sierra 3 times. Spark plug wire came off and truck acted strange. Jumping. Stabletrak on ect. Check it out. I bet it’s a wire
