Found the flaw in my Nitto 555 G 2’s. Wet traction is not very good, I had a good amount of spin outs while attempting to pull off or go around a slow moving vehicle. I understand the power the vehicle puts out so I know that’s a big factor. I just do not recall having this issue on my 2012 2SS with Perelli’s. Nitto boast of 4 of 5 on wet traction but I beg to differ.

I had 555's on a 1st gen 700HP firebird. 50 was about the limit on a rainy highway.

Drove mine around today, saw wife at work.
Got to 20.2mpg, doesn't seem to stop loosening up, around 650 miles so far.

Calipers finished getting powder coated today. Need to pick them up tomorrow and drop them off at the dealer to get put back open and brakes bled.

You took it to the dealer to remove and install the calipers? Doesn't anyone wrench on cars themselves anymore? Come on folks, grab some tools and learn your cars!!

Some people just aren't comfortable messing with parts that, if worked on improperly, could be big safety risks. I have thought twice about messing with my own brakes for that reason, when I painted my calipers I left them on and trash bagged the rotors to keep them paint free.

I don't blame them one bit for getting them put back on professionally.

At 65 and retired, I'll -SUPERVISE- the dealer's dudes working on it. Stopped working on cars when they got them really computerized, and I could no longer pick up a short small block w crank/pistons/heads and toss it on a bench.
Wait till you get that old!!!

Got a nice nick on the leading edge of the rocker behind the door. Something fell off of someone's car and kicked up along the side of mine. Thought for sure I'd have some damage all along the door but it was only at the rocker, little smaller than an eraser. Pissed me off. Have to get some touch-up.

I can change spark plugs and do lots of stuff, but to properly bleed the brakes in this, you need the GM tech tool to activate the ABS. I am not going to cheap out on brakes! One of the few dealers I trust to work on my car.
