Clear tail lights

Anyone offer these and a clear third brake light? Also would I need a conversion harness if I have the base model tail lamps?

not sure which lights you're referring to.. but if you have the non-rs model, you will need the gen5diy harness (or equal).

The only other clear tail lights I know of are the strange looking Lamborghini Aventador-like tail lights. And yes, as StPeteHyper2.0 said, you will need the gen5diy Non RS - RS tail light harness.

Hey Cooper

You do not need the harness for the tail lights to work. The harness is for the reverse LED option. The tail lights them selves are plug and plug for all 2016-2018 Camaros. Shoot us a email or PM if you have any questions.

People have reported hyperflashing when converting from base halogen tail lights to the LED dark tail lights. Unless the ones Phastek is selling have built in resistors, I don't see how they wouldn't need the resistor harness. I would love to be enlightened, though (no pun intended lol).

Pretty sure it is need for the LED blinkers also not just reverse LED. My harness has 2 resistors. If not you will have the hyperflash blinkers. If you have the base model non-RS, a harness will be needed, unless like peyton says if they are built in, which I have not seen yet. If you don't care to have the hyperflash blinkers, then you don't necessarily need the harness for the taillights to actually work.

Thanks again guys!!! Good explanation StPeteHyper2.0. Hyper flashing would not be desirable for me. I purposely got no RS package on my car, as I knew from the beginning I wanted to sway out grill and add blade spoiler. Very helpful information!

So, these resistors are solve the hyper flash blinkers?

Yeah, but they are quite ghetto.

This harness solves both problems, it does the non-RS to RS conversion and allows for LED reverse bulbs: http://www.gen5diy.com/Chevrolet/Cam...llight-Harness. It has 3 resistors, 1-1 for each LED blinker and 1 for the reverse LED bulbs (only one is needed because these are wired in series, and the resistor in the harness is sufficient to prevent any residual glow when inactive).

I tested it, looks professional, it's plug and play, easy to tuck away and uninstall if need be, obviates the need for splicing and driving screws into the body or using heat resistant dual sided tape or some similar contraption. Strongly recommended.
