My kids bought me the GM Camaro cover and it scratch the paint. I think it was from the elastic edges. I only use it for long term winter storage. I did buy an inside cover that guarantees not to scratch. Get a halogen light and look close at the hood and trunk lid to see scratches. If you have to park it outside I would suggest doing a full paint correction then ceramic coating and leave it uncovered for daily use.

I'm willing to spend Big $$$ if it won't damage the paint and will also protect the vehicle from the elements. Already have a CoverKing StormProof cover. If it's a windy day it will scratch the paint.

All car covers will put minor scratches due to dust/dirt getting in them. The trick is to minimize them. I agree with something that was said previously. Do a paint correction and ceramic coating. then cover your car. If the car is going to sit for a period of time covering it will help keep the sun out of the interior. I looked into getting Adams triple soft towels and sowing them under a car cover. My car sits inside though not sure this would work outside. For outdoor use I would check out California car cover. They have a good site that has a lot of info. They will even send you some free samples.
