Question Getting new rims, black or black/red? What looks better?

I just got a 2017 Camaro SS and I'm absolutely LOVING it. The car is incredible. I want to swap some new rims on it asap but can't decide between going all black with red brake calipers, or black/red. I plan on doing red as my accent color, so red/black leather seats, red interior trimmings, maybe low-key red stripes on the exterior. I think it would look sick.

There aren't many red/black rim styles available, but this one was my favorite:

What do you guys think of those? Or do you have other recommendations? I quickly photoshopped the rims onto my car to see what it would look like better:

I like what they've done with the redline editions. Maybe should check into that.

Agree, think it would look better with just the red accents on the spokes. The rest is too much. But that's just my personal taste.

Personally I think your factory wheels look 100 times better than those. IMO those look really tacky.

If you are dead set on those wheels, go all black

Black wheels are being done to death, everybody and their brother is doing it. I was going to go chrome (I'm old school) but I saw those same wheels and got them for my White 2SS with adrenaline red interior. I will be going with a red/black graphic package next week. Went with a deep red instead of the hot red as the current fender hashes (which are coming off)

Here's a link to a '15 Camaro black on Craig's List with those wheels:

See, I like those rims on your car and the one on Craigslist. I was thinking the same thing, black wheels are overdone, it would be cool to be unique.

I guess I could just paint my current wheels black and add some red accents to the spokes?

It's your car do whatever makes you happy lol. I was just giving my opinion on those particular wheels.

Your wheels w/ red accents would probably look killer.

I also have a '17 black SS coupe- with wheels identical to yours. My car has the 2SS red interior, so I DO like red, but at age 70, I quite probably am more conservative than you. These split spoke wheels really "do it" for me,and I've had several compliments on them. If you keep your present ones on the car for a couple of months, they just might grow on you. Give it time. This Camaro is 90% the car that my 2013 Corvette 427 vert is- for about 55% of the price. They have sat side by side in the garage for the last five months because of the winter roads here in Ohio. They will get plenty of exercise beginning in April, however!

give it time
