ZL1 Sound system - Page 2

Well, the days i drive it to work which is 80 miles round trip....i want my music...

If you think the ZL1’s audio system is subpar, you haven’t spent much time in a GT350. I had one for about a year before switching, and that system is absolute garbage. It’s funny, because coming from that perspective, I have been thrilled with the audio quality in the ZL1. Guess that shows just how bad the GT350’s is. With the glorious sounds the GT350 makes, though, I guess it didn’t really matter.

I hate the sound system in my ZL1. I have heard sound systems from $30k cars that sound much better. Plus, for some reason it sounds like it all comes from the front. I had to move the fader further to the rear to better balance it out. What were they thinking?

I'm used to music coming from the back too. It seems the emphasis on high end stereos is to build a sound stage in front, just like a live performance.

I am saying goodbye to my F10 M5 this Friday and getting a Red 18 ZL1. The B&O system in the M5 is going to be missed...bad vs the ZL1. Only my wife's Jeep SRT8 HK system can come close.

I would given Chevy another 1k or so to have the option of Hertz speakers. I'm just saying my 51k Daytona I just got with the HK system sounds better. Now, will I change my speakers, probably not.

Good sound systems are heavy beasts

The LPO sub in my canyon was 30lbs and it made the sound system great. Engineering dollars of 30lbs on this car is expensive.

I agree tho if the speakers are still paper they should be doing better than that

That’s exactly where I’m going. My 16 M5 is 120,000.00. B and O 6-8k option. But you are paying for it.
