Android Auto not working with galaxy s9 +

Is anyone else having any issues with connecting a galaxy s9 + to the Camaro I keep getting the communication error 8, I just got back from the dealership so the Camaro is up to date, just trying to figure out if this is a issue with the s9 or my car. any help would be appreciated .

Are you using the Samsung USB-C cable that came with the phone?

yes, I've tried several different type c cables including the one I got with my phone and still no luck

If all else fails, uninstall/reinstall AA on the phone..unpair/pair the phone with mylink and try again. May even want to try rebooting the phone 1st.

Mine hardly ever works with my S7 lately. Worked fine for first 6 months or so. Usually it's a software issue, but my Chevy service advisor buddy said he wasn't aware of any.
