FE2 vs FE3 FT sway Bar links Difference?

Different P/Ns but same cost. About $30 each. Any reason to replace the
FE2 with the FE3. Staying with the FE2 bar as it appears to be About 24mm.
Rear bar is smaller. Will replace with FE3 Bar as I am putting SS wheels on my LT.

The rears are roughly the same but on the front, the fe2 links are plastic with a ball joint insert.

The fe3 front links are all metal more or less. Stronger.

When installing the from bmr bar, the gm tech actually pulled the ball joint out the socket on the front bar accidentally.

Why would GM put an inferior part on the car? And still charge the same price as the FE3 part! The FE2 front bar is not small by any measure and could generate a lot of force on the link in a turn.

technically I wouldn't say inferior. as long as the part stays in the working range...it should be more than sufficient.

the tech removed one side and the other side became loaded and the off load pressure popped it out. accidental completely.

I will say with the composite material, the overall weight was def lighter overall. the middle composite part was strong. but comparing it to the steel housing and shaft... steel would be harder/stiffer. weight savings was the name of the game on the 6th gen.
