I went back and found my original post after the first track with the car last year. http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=494072
I knew I had posted what the oil temps were that day:

Quote:
Trans temp the entire 25 min. sessions was between 175-185. It would drop noticeably during each cool-off lap at least 25 deg. I'm impressed!

Oil temp got up to 275+. I didn't like seeing that but I also don't have any idea where that measurement is being taken from. I've been told it's just a calculation from other parameters, don't know. Also, like the trans temp, backing off and during the cool-off lap the temps drop quickly.

Unfortunately none in stock near me, otherwise I would option them. Hopefully I can find used seats from SS/ZL1 1LE owners swapping them out for racing seats, and worst case I'll just buy one driver seat from a GM supplier.

Btw, I was in the exact same boat as you until a few weeks ago. I have a lot of friends that run in the 86 cup and was really looking into a BRZ until I rented a v6 1le. Someone has one on Turo near Long Beach. I put almost 300 miles on it in Malibu and all around LA. I was totally blown away.

I'm actually flying out to Phoenix tomorrow to buy a 1le. Autonation in Mesa has a few cars and incredible pricing right now. The dealerships around LA are a pain to work with and have almost no inventory. I've already booked Buttonwillow on April 8th haha. WAY excited for the car.

Maybe see you out at the track soon!
