Gen 6th Z28 speculation.
Am I the only one that is assuming that there will be a Gen 6 Z28 and it will borrow the powerplant of the new ZR1 coming out?
C7 Stingray = SS Z06 = Zl1 So it's only smart and natural for Chevy to do the same with a Z28 i'd think. MOOOOOVE over GT500 and Demon. If it's like the previous Gen Z28 it'll be a bit too much track and not enough creature comforts for my kind of driving, but still gonna be awesome and that's what the car is for anyway, track all day woot!

my specualation:
An engine similar to this one: http://www.chevrolet.com/performance...ines/lt376-535 A curb weight of ~3500 lbs. Carbon ceramic brakes. And ZL1 1le suspension/ aero bits.

There is a whole sub-forum on 6th gen Z28 discussion. Just go to the camaro 6 main forum page and look for the Z28 forum. This has been discussed in depth.

You aren’t the only one but I don’t see it happening. The top Corvette has never shared its engine with anyone and Al O has said the Z/28 would be naturally aspirated.

Not only that but I have a feeling that if the Vette does go full mid engine (as in all C8 cars midenigne and the FR vette ceases to exist) that the LT5 will the special send off for the Corvette and remain a corvette Exclusive

since moderators dont feel like moving this to the correct subforum yet.
i'll say that the Z28 will be a nearly undrivably stiff and stripped down SS with all around improvements in the tuning and gearing of the drivetrain. Inaccessibly priced (partly due to the race inspired carbon brakes that cost 10k on their own) to most camaro owners and it'll sit on dealer lots for huge lengths of time as the potential customers for such a car are few and far between. What it should be: It should be an SS (no changes to drive train or suspension / brakes) but all the unnecessary junk removed and custom trim on the outside and inside. Done. Leave the performance tuning to the owner via aftermarket. |

Z/28 gen6 should be
Stripped down SS with head up display and 1LE suspension (maybe with some extra suspension goodies) and the 6.2 liter 376 maybe warmed over a bit (like the LT376). In a reasonable price tag. Not 80 grand (or more) F### that, but in the price range of the SS. If you need more, than ZL1 1LE. |

I think they should make it look like the SS like they did last time except with a ultra powerful LT7 and 1000+hp those are my expectations...

Every speculation I have seen is that the Z28 would be NA.
