And Matt is awesome. I got to meet him at CamaroFest last year. Talked with him for a bit, and spent some money too lol. Just ask Heath lol.

Club F1FTY

Just a heads up guys and gals. I’m starting to see others (F1FTY and non-F1FTY 6th gen Camaros) report HUD issues.

Did some digging and this is what I found....

It’s currently a TSB only. The fix (which we all can do ourselves) is pull the fuse. I’m having a hard time finding the exact fuse at the moment, so do this instead....unplug the battery in the trunk for 5 minutes. This will clear/have same affect. May have to reset some of your personalization settings but will bring HUD back.

Unless something drastically changes I don’t think this will turn into a recall. I feel, a second TSB will be released or they will issue a revision to this TSB with a software update to the HUD module, if they determine software will fix it.

Thanks for the heads up Adam. I'll add to the battery un-hook, to make sure you get a total reset.

If you pull the negative cable, hop in the seat and press your brake for a few seconds. That will drain the ECU's back-up power.

I don’t have it handy with me right now but I was going to look thru the service manual to see if there’s a mention of the HUD fuse.

Obviously the method mentioned will work regardless. Gives me a reason to break it out again.

FWIW.....
From what I've been able to glean out of the SM, it would appear that F16 in the rear fuse block not only provides power for the HUD but also the instrument cluster. It's labeled as "Display" in the owner's manual page 290 (page 291 on my PDF).
BUT, I'd not put any money on it and I'd probably go with the battery method described previously.

Hey guys, quick question. I saw the other day a picture of a certificate or something that came with a Fifty car indicating it was a special edition and whatnot. I bought mine used and didn't get anything like this. Was there something that came with the Fifty cars like this or was it something someone had made?

It doesn’t come with the car unfortunately. It was a kit that was sent by GM to the original owners of the car.

See a few pics below of mine. (I framed part of mine).

I'm sure I won't be the only response....

The original purchasers were sent a package that contained larger (24"x18") prints of each generation of the Generational mural (shown along the top of the image below) along with a card showing production information and a "thank you" letter. I had my cards mounted with my window sticker and have framed some of the "posters" from the portfolio book (not pictured).

These packages started being mailed out around this time last year.

Unfortunately only the original owners in the US were recipients of this package.

Still wish they'd hook-up our northern friends.

I've found it noted in multiple locations that the trunk fuse block F16 has to be the one referred to in the TSB. It also provides power for the HVAC controls, Info Display Module and Instrument Cluster.

I don’t understand the question. We all have the 50th grille. It is the 50th anniversary edition.
