E85 tuning question

Hello everyone,

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on the flex fuel sensor for my ZL1. I'm in the Metro Detroit area and I'm looking for someone that could tune the otherwise stock vehicle. Is there someone in Metro Detroit that can tune this? Or are there remote tuners out there that can help me? I just don't see a lot of info out there on this yet.

Thanks in advance!

To name a few of my top recommendations...

Dr. Phil (used to tune out of Jakes, he’s hard to get ahold of)
MJD Performance
Motor City Speed
Vector Motorsports
And lots of other small tuners I’ve heard around. Metro Detroit easily has a top 5 LS/LT car scene in the country. We have lots of talent for tuning them too just no big name to put them under (Other than Livernois and Lingenfelter).

Livernois actually told me they couldn't tune the car for E85 due to fuel restriction but it appears others have done it without an issue. Thank you for the quick reply. I'll reach out to a few of those names below.

What other mods are you doing?

I wouldn’t just tune for e85 because you have flex fuel sensor. You need to increase your fuel supply with a cam and say maybe a low side fuel system.

I wasn't planning on doing much more than the e85. I get that I won't get crazy power gains but at this moment I'm not looking for crazy gains. I like to hit a lot of HPDE events and I'm not prepared to start modding the cooling system yet.

I don't think the OEM fuel system can supply the volume that 100% E85 requires. Hence why most stock cam cars show the fuel as E45-E60.
