What to do about the awful steering wheel my ZL1 has? And the rest of the interior?

I was on the verge of getting an Audi RS3 or S5 and the interior on those cars is flat out amazing. I ended up getting the Camaro cause the drivetrain is amazing but the interior is not exactly great. Especially the steering wheel which I find is horrid. Has anyone experimented with this?

Below is the Audi Steering wheel (most new Audi's come with this similar style steering wheel) and my wife's Mazda CX-9's steering wheel. Both which looks years ahead in quality and design from the Camaro's.

Any other interior mods people have done to make their interiors look better made or more "high end"?

The airbag slot is actually empty, you install your stock airbag and cover into the center.

You don't like the design of the steering wheel or you don't like the material of it? I love the steering wheel in the 1LE. I can't get enough of how good it and the shifter feels.

The design and materials used look like they belong in a $20k car. The fake Suede feels nice but it won't last if it's anything like the CTS-V, plus, it's slippery without gloves. Just look at how high quality the ones I posted look. They look worthy of being in a supercar. I wish they would have spent more than 15 minutes designing it.

Do you have a 10spd or 6 speed?

I'm coming from a M5, so for me, I'm slightly disappointed in the interior as well, but only because of what I'm use to. I did some S2T paddles, and the carbon fiber from the ZL1 1LE. I think at some point I'll do a wheel too, IF, i decide to keep the car for the long term.

S2T has 3 different types of paddles, I chose the largest of the three. I like them, but, if i had to choose again, would probably pick one of the other two.

If you want to feel better about your interior, go look at any of the muscle cars from 2015 prior. GM made a HUGE leap in quality in 2016.

The Camaro is a driver's car if you wanted a nice interior should've got something different! Or pay a custom shop big $$ to redo it. I'm just a poor 1ss driver who has no complaints lol. It's all about the driving experience that's why I opted for the manual

The Audi wheel is very nice, but IMO, you get what you pay for. I'm perfectly content with my 2SS, but the interior is not going to be the same quality as an Audi, or BMW, or <insert luxury sports car here>

I see that's an Audi R8 cockpit, I'm sure for the extra $100,000 you pay, the interior is valued in some of that expense.

If you have the coin, Caravaggio corvettes upgrades C7 steering wheels to carbon fiber, etc. They do excellent work and maybe can upgrade your Camaro wheel. You may have to buy another wheel and send it to them for rework. There are other vendors that do this work too.

Is the SS auto steering wheel exactly the same as the ZL1 Auto just with leather? Heated wheel and all?
