You need to watch your mouth, you must be under 40 as that is when we start to use our brains,

when mistakes happen good moral people do not take advantage of the situation

the op can hardly wait to screw over the company

A good person would not have to ask permission to screw over a company but would wait at least a few weeks before trying to keep the more expensive merchandise

If you are not a moderator then you shut up and watch your mouth,

on the internet those that say watch your mouth would never say that to my face, ever
and if they did it it would never happen again I would make sure of it

If I wanted to screw over the company I would have never started this thread. You would have seen a thread in the for sale section.
I would MUCH rather them fix the issue but at the same time I’m not going to sit on this exhaust for weeks with no resolution on their part.

Asshat

Quit the cyberbully stuff. Makes you look like the asshat. I'm behind the OP 100% for trying to do the right thing without being a jerk. When did they start putting "mean chlorine" in Alberta's drinking water?

I told the seller (not Holley/hooker) about the mistake and they said they would update me the next day to resolve it. It has now been three days and not a word. I'm tempted to sell it if I don't hear anything in a week.
Is this fair? Should I wait longer?
And I'm not trying to screw anyone over (I told them about the mistake) but I don't want to go out of my way chasing people down on the phone trying to resolve there problems.

Its quite clear the OP has been giving the seller an opportunity to make it right and has been waiting. I too would be a bit irritated waiting 3+ days with no word from the vendor over the wrong part after attempting to make it right.

The OP isn't in control of what the vendor does and he is apparently willing to give them time to fix the issue, if they dont what else can he do?

Great news! I got a authorization letter from Holley to ship back the exhaust and get the correct one once they receive the one I’m shipping back.

So let me get this WRONG......after 40 "we" start to use our brains and realize that ripping off the supplier is not a nice thing to do, BUT by 40 "we" haven't learned that implied threats of an ass-kicking is a lame, high-school thing to do. Oh wait maybe you didn't mean an ass-kicking, maybe you just meant you would pour Maple syrup down his throat so he couldn't talk anymore.

I was really close to changing my username to asshat.
Stig eh was was starting to sound like one of my disgruntled ex’s. Kind of had me worried one of them had tracked me down on the internet in that crazy way.
Don’t worry Stig eh, just like my ex’s I will forgive you to.
