You've got the 1LE package which includes the hud and the appropriate windshield.

I know, but appropriate windshield? I didn't think the windshield was different. If so, how? To me, it just looks like the hud screen reflects off of the glass.

Not sure if the windshield itself varies for hud, but if it does, one would have a reflective material in the glass for the hud projection.

Yes, the HUD windshield is different from a normal one. Particular in the area of the HUD. If you use a normal windshield the projection will be blurred and not sharp.

I didn't think the windshield mattered either, but after researching it, I've found out otherwise.

On a regular windshield, the reflected image will usually show up doubled. And apparently, it's worse in some cars than others. In my car, it was very apparent and totally unusable in direct sunlight until I added the special film that came with HUD.

Windshields for the Camaro are advertised with or without HUD. See example below:

Just to muddy the waters, I tinted my windshield (added tinted film between the HUD projector and the windshield) and it had zero impact on HUD readability.

New wheel package came in last night. Took the opportunity to mount them up after dinner last night. Have to find some time to install the AFE springs I have sitting in the basement at some point.

Let us know how difficult it ends up being.

Will do. The suspension part is pretty easy.
The electronics should be pretty straightforward.
The hardest part I think will be routing the air lines.
