McLeod 6406807M RXT Twin Disc Clutch

Anyone have any experience with the McLeod 6406807M RXT Twin Disc Clutch in the 6th Gen ZL1?

No, but interested in replies. Curious how many miles you have on car and if it needs a clutch or you just want an upgrade?

I have 6000 miles on the car, I street race it and drag race it. The car puts down about 650 hp and will eventually put down 900+. The clutch feels to be slipping a little bit, I was also told upgrading the clutch would help with launching it, right now it has bog issues.

I have read a lot about that clutch when I was thinking of replacing the one in my older 2014 Mustang GT. It has a lot of good reviews. That is what I would get if I would replace mine, but I don't have any direct experience.

You have 650 RWHP? If so, I'm guessing you have mods and a tune? I'm surprised you still get a launch bog as most that have been tuned, no longer have the bog.

Yea I have an upper grip tec pulley, Rotofab CAI, and Flex fuel but only running E40. The car still bogs pretty bad, last time it was tuned was in Sept, ive heard since than HPTuners has unlocked some tables to help with this.

OP the bog is builtin from GM. A clutch replacement will do nothing for the bog. And I would be surprised if your clutch is slipping already. If it is your engine would be racing and you would smell the clutch.

The Mcleod has a good rep. But stay away from Centerforce.

I disagree with you. I know how the bog works we spent hours in tuning it and looking at the TQ management tables. The clutch 100% slips.

This could be an interesting bit. Is it possible this huge M6 issue is actually mechanical and not electronic?

600+ Lb/Ft with the RXT.

It gives your leg a workout for sure. However, never failed me and bit every time. EXTREMELY HARD to slip, because of the twin disc.

If you mind clutch chatter, the RXT is not for you.
