That "dummy" light means that all of your airbags are disabled. I can't understand how there would be "....no safety concerns". Do you honestly believe air bags do nothing? I can understand if you switch to a correctly mounted 5 point harness and wear a helmet but the OP has mentioned keeping stock functionality so I doubt he is going this far, which for the street would be completely impractical. For the street with a standard seat belt you definitely want the air bags to be working correctly. This is terrible and unsafe advice you are spewing.

The system disables all airbags. I guess thats ok for some who drive around on a street strapped in with a 5 point and a helmet.

Someone I follow did Braum seats. I would probably go with a well known brand though like Recaro. There's a reason why GM teamed up with Recaro for the 1LE seats.

With safety equipment, spend the money and buy quality parts, PERIOD, your life depends on it. Look at seats that are certified for their safety. I would only trust two brands, Sparco and Recaro. I personally use Sparco at the moment but I've used Recaro in the past, both are great brands to consider. |

I contacted a few camaro6 owners I found with aftermarket seats and all have the light on still.. I understand it’s just a light and seat airbags are off .. but NY inspection can be a bitch .. so I rather have the light off lol
