ZL1 Add-ons Dive Planes
Has anyone bought and installed the dive planes from ZL1 Add-Ons? Thinking about buying them and was wondering if they were more for looks or actually functioning? Thanks!

![]() The only ones that have been tested in a wind tunnel are the ZL1 1LE. Personally I'm not a fan of the ZL1 addons ones. I personally think they need the lip on the outer edge to retain some structural rigidity. Without it seems like they are only attached at 2 points and have the ability to flex in between.

Yeah, the outer lip would add both structural rigidity and keep airflow from spilling over the outside of the winglet. I'm thinking they are mainly going to be an aesthetic addition without better attachment on the body side (both structural attachment and gap sealing to keep air from getting between the wing and body) and an outer lip. I'd be surprised if any meaningful downforce could be generated without those changes, at least.
