Uh.. I owned a 2016 camaro SS A8 for 4 months and was disappointing with the slow responding paddle shifts. WOT shifts were quick and crisp of course. It's well know the ZF 8-speed is one of the best autos on the market.
The M6 is a tad quicker than the A8 from a roll in my experience. I've raced my 2SS m6 several times against my friends 1SS a8 and usually take him from a roll (usually 50-120 roll). Definitely not WAY slower... I agree the m6 is slower from a dig.

I still have my old miata as well, fun car.

I agree. There is just something about rowing the gears in your car that makes it feel like its an extension of you. Today's automatic cars are so computer controlled any clown can get it in and run great times. At times it almost feels like the car is driving you and not you the car.

If you are focused on 1/4 mile times or live in an area with heavy traffic the A8/10 is probably the better choice.

I've owned several automatics in the past from different manufacturers, and every single one of them had some issue. If it wasn't rough shifting, it was constant hunting or delayed responsiveness. It looks like the A8 is a step in the right direction, but it needs work obviously.

Once I learned the manual, there was no looking back....ever. There may come a day when it's physically taxing and I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

Been rowing gears for 11 years in the Miami heavy traffic and still enjoy it.

I owned a 09 Challenger for 8 years.... with many mods.
The Challenger is dated now, it is heavy and heavy means you can get into trouble, it is not a tossable fun car period.
The goods? Seats 4, smooth ride... bout it.

Nice car, liked that body style. Wish down here wasn't so congested, but it is what it is.

We get a few months reprieve here from the tourist typically November - March, during the tourism seasons our population can increase 10x the year round population. We have to make the most of our good days here

There are some fun straight stretches between Salvo and Avon too. I’ll be there soon for some big drum fishing.

Wild One, do you have the 13 convertible ZL1 located in Manteo? If so I met you a few years back at the gas pumps when driving my Orange SRT Challenger.

There is a whole world of difference between an 09 Challenger and a 2015-16 ScatPack. cant really compare the two because they are so far apart. even the SRT8's
