Methanol Injection?

Would methanol injection yield any gains on a NA LT1 with boltons?

i would expect to see a little extra power on a warm day. It should cool down the iat and allow the motor to in-jest more air if It is denser. Also the meth carry’s some oxygen like ethanol does but if you sprayed much it would go richer and kill power.

Can you do a flex fuel kit and e85. You get a serious bump with that.

I would stick to E85 with NA boltons. The methonol injection gains with NA are likely not worth the upgrade cost.

To be honest it's not necessarily the worst idea ever. Devils own makes a great kit for like 430$. I think you'd have to run full meth and get aggressive with timing.

The way you want to use meth is to increase timing mainly on boosted cars, so the same thing applies in NA. I would imagine with a 6.2 you could get some ponies with a good tuner. But I wouldn't expect anything too wild. Maybe 20whp? I mean you technically can drop below ambient temp. But the good thing about it, is to help keep the ports clean. And that's why it might be worth it. You'd have to do quite a bit, but I mean, it's still better than nothing at least long term. Short term not really going to make a difference.

If you're interested it's worth a shot, but you'd need a real dyno tune, with a good tuner who knows how hard to lean on the engine. Should be able to pick up a few degrees of timing. And then it's a bolt on you can keep if you decide to go FI down the road.
