How to remove door mirror triangle trim?

Does anyone know how to remove the black plastic trim piece right next to the mirrors on the door

cant really see anything around it so im a bit scared to pry at it with a trim tool, anyone got any advice? Just want to pull it off and wrap it something gloss

If you don't have an answer by next week I will let you know when I pull my door panel again to remove my mirror and have it painted.
