My next trade is going to be a big upgrade rather than relatively sideways.
Something like a Hellcat, ZL1 or next gen GT500.

Why did you trade your scatpack for a 18GT if you like torque??
Unless there is a whipple in your future, the GT will always feel "lacking" around town.

I have tended to get a new car every 1-2 years since the new performance generation got underway back in 2010. i'm not a brand loyalist and am thrilled to be able to participate in this new muscle car revolution. I was a diehard GM guy when i was younger and had never owned a Ford and only 1 or 2 Mopars. To be honest, there are things i like and dislike about all three cars (Camaro, Mustang and Challenger) and while i do miss the low end torque of the Scat Pack I am enjoying the smaller size and nimbler Mustang. I'm looking forward to testing at the track in March to see if the performance claims are true.

Which is understandable, and you must take that response for what it is.
Same thing happened with me. I wanted the 15 GT so I went and bought one. Just to discover on the ride home that it had no guts. I did mods and such yet it did not feel fast until I did the GT350 IM/TB and tune which voided the warranty. Then I had surging issues with the tune and the GT350 TB. So I put the stock TB on and had issues with that tune too. On top of there being no suspension parts available for the convertible. It is too much of a mess with that car. Tunes void the warranty yet all of the mods that will make it competitive with the Camaro require a tune. So you're stuck with a slow-ass GT and a full warranty...or you can have a fast GT with no warranty. The 18s changed all that but they still can't corner for shit. They are not even worth buying at this point.

If you want a car that can handle then get the ZL1 or GT500 (assuming the GT500 will be good at handling). The Hellcat is really terrible in corners. And it isn't that comfy either, especially in track mode. Track mode in my ZL1 is very comfy. In the HC it tends to bounce around yet the suspension is still stiff so it hits bumps with quite some impact. However if you want space then go for the Hellcat as the ZL1 is very cramped. The Charger HC would probably be better than the Challenger HC.

Tell me why my tires are ridiculous? My statement tells you cosmetics are the last part of my build, and yes I'm not wealthy, and could care less. But, really where are all these camaro's on the street to run with? I have one bud with a ZL1 who cruises with me on occasion. And, what have you been smokin? Oh, and more "stickers" are on the way.

Although it is an assumption, your tires look a little on the skinny side. That is not my assumption. I'm just guessing that is what he was talking about. They also don't seem to be great for any type of aggressive handling. Again, that is just what I think he was saying.

Take your time with your build. You'll get there. The important part is that you enjoy your car. But, personally, I would remove those stickers. That is just my preference which doesn't matter because it is your car. As far as Camaros on the road. Well they don't sell...remember? LOL! There are plenty out there. I run into Camaros, Mustangs, and Challys pretty frequently. However in some states I see more of one particular car than the others. So it could just be where you particularly live. Word of advice, I wouldn't go running up on a ZL1, lol!!

Don't forget about today's need to protect the occasional unlucky/inattentive pedestrians against concussion after they've already been hit, which affects the front, and from there roof height. And ultimately wheel sizes.

I've always taken the opposite sequence - with any car I did much of anything with. Wheels and tires first and find out where I needed to go from there to get the most out of them. I'll give you that 255's on 9's and 275's on 9.5's are a noticeable step up from 235's, but SS/1LE's and ZL1's live in the 285/10's and up neighborhood.

I'm not a fan of stickers either. Feels (to me, anyway) like fishing for compliments from the clueless if you have to provide such big hints.

All that bitching that it was a PP1 and not a PP2 overlooks that the Mustang wasn’t very well sorted out. People in the Camaro community would love to see the 1LE vs base GT350. Fair? No...but I think the 1LE would do very well.

Yeah and they all seem to think PP2 will magically shave 3+ seconds off a lap for only a few grand more. But hey.. they can hang their hat on sales numbers.

Haha, I know right. I love it how their arguments change to fit their narrative. Like liberals.

So, first it was this, now it's that. Now this, now that. The driver this, the tires that. It wasn't a PP2. Now, it should be the GT350 vs the SS1LE. Smh. The GT 350 lines up vs the Zl1. It's complete comedy hour over there.

I just want to see them line up a GT PP1, PP2, GT 350, and a GT 350R with a Camaro SS, 1LE SS, ZL1, and ZL1 1LE....same day.... Randy Probst as the driver....and let em go balls deep...

Just so we can see the Ford camp go 0-4 but to hear something like...the cars sound great, the feel is wonderful...but I dont know why they lost.... LMAO

What I don't get is how they think the PP1 is not the natural competition for the 1LE. Just because it eats shit compared to the 1LE doesn't mean they aren't competitors. It means the PP1 eats shit. They've been using the "natural competitors" and "apples to apples" excuse for years now. Every time the Mustang gets it's ass kicked they default to that excuse. So you're telling me that for the entire S550 Mustang lineup they made not one vehicle that naturally matches and of the Camaros except for the GT and the SS? Or is the GT not the natural competitor to the SS either? Pretty soon the V6 Camaros are gonna be kicking the GT's ass and they'll still be using the same excuse. Matter of fact its getting to the point that it isn't even worth watching these comparisons and H2Hs. It might be time for the Camaro to start competing in a higher league.
