Love the ZL1 wing, but.......
In my opinion, the ZL1 wing looks great, but it sits so low that it makes washing and drying under the wing a chore. I think .5 -1" higher would be perfect. People are always changing wings, but has anyone thought about a base extension for the wing posts? I thing the addition of the ZL1 1LE wing would require additional front end down-force, but raising the rear wing up to 1 inch, shouldn't have much of an impact. Thoughts???

the ZL1 (non-1LE) wing is mostly cosmetic
If you can fixture a 1” lift without it looking like a tree fort, go for it.
The wing is a walk in the park with a MF wash mitt. To dry I use a leaf blower and guzzler waffle weave towel... washing and drying is a snap. It’s the wheels and that dumb lip behind all 80 spokes... this is the the chore on this car. Even ceramic coated the wheels take as long to clean as the entire rest of the car. But man oh man is she pretty when she’s clean!! |

Good point. The wheels are a pain. I changed my brake pads to the powerstop Z1 Evolution Pads and brake dust has been reduced dramatically. I don't have to wash every time I drive anymore. I agree, that black car looks great when its clean, but it does require washing often.

Sorry my response was not helpful regarding your extension idea. I just thought a different drying technique would help you until you figure out the extensions. |

I just use my Stihl blower to dry the whole car. One less chance of scratching it.

Yeah, it is such and effort. Those A-holes at Chevy should have to drive one for a month a maintain it to see what we go through! Just frosts my butt every time I wash it.
Just a thought, did those designers "wind tunnel" this car with the aero parts? |
