When the car is in drive the led turns on. I just have two more questions. Is it possible you can check to see if your led strip is on during the day when not in drive as well as check to see if your reverse lights go on when you open the trunk.. during the day of course! Thanks for the tip!

Yes, have someone stand outside when you do it. Or be parked in front of something reflective and watch for the lights to turn on.

For the trunk, you will be standing right next to the car when you open it, you should be able to see

Hey I actually meant if he or someone can check to see if the headlights stay on during the day. Not the nights lights only the led strips. Mine are off. Also if the trunk lights turn on when you open it during the day. These are also off for me. Thanks!

I absolutely HATED that the 5th Gens kept the headlights on during the daytime.. irritated the crap out of me.

I hear ya I’d prefer them on but either way is fine. I’m really hoping my wiring isn’t messed up. I’m almost positive the headlights on auto and reverse lights when you open the trunk are supposed to go on during the day. Just want to verify that I’m not crazy. I just installed led reverse harness and side markers and think this is when it started.
