So not only do women prefer the Mustang, they dream about owning one too when men dream of a Corvette. Now are you going to say women care about the "performance" of the Mustang (and the offroad performance of a Jeep), or do they care about the "image" both portray?
A majority totally care about the image...no question.

Yep and it's really the same for the Camaro and Challenger. The bulk of sales are for the "looks and image", not practicality, not performance, and not visibility. So we really just need to get off the sales argument, b/c it really has nothing to do with what most of us care about.

At least we agree on that I believe.

I mean, how do sales numbers make the car drive better? Do I try to take comfort in knowing Ford sold more Mustangs than Chevy sold Camaros? How does that improve handling? If that's the case, shouldn't I be driving a Toyota Camry? You may be on to something, because even the Camry's body movements aren't that out of control...
You're right that argument ia ridiculous.

In the real world when it's you in your car, in the need to test the cars current performance abilities, the sales numbers dont mean squat.

But its no more rediculous than the argument that you can't compare stock vs modded.

When I am driving my car and want to compare it to another on the track or strip, and my car comes up short, should I think of the magazine reviews? I mean, how do better scores in a magazine make the current state on my car any better? Do I try to take comfort in knowing Chevy built a better stock performing Camaro than the stock Mustang? Especially when the Modded limits of the two are so similar. How does that help when there are tons of modded cars out in the real world, Camaro's, Mustangs, Challengers, etc. Just because you guys don't think its fair to compare them because magiazines don't, does that mean that any loss vs one in the real world is invalid?

As for "The Camry response" it would have some legitimacy as a counterpoint if Camry was a 2+2 pony car.

You see, forum banter is almost always hyperbole. Discuss the cars, have an engaging convo, and enjoy what you drive, you spent your hard earned on it. The need to validate ones purchase/choice by constantly attempting to devalue other's choices is childish and unnecessary.

That has been a major complaint for 4 model years now.

Complete ownage. A fkn beat down like I've never seen b4.

Haha, the Ford fanboys excuses....................OUR POINT IS PROVEN.

Whatever excuse you want to use, the 350R was completely fkn destroyed. By what? At least 20 car lengths? It wasn't even close. Nice try Ford. Keep it up. One day..............................

Ill take that one step further. What a car runs stock means little to me. As long as it has the potential to go as fast and handle as well as I need it too without becoming a basket case thats all I need. It also has to be a car I am going to enjoy looking at and living with for the next several years.

I have never kept my personal vehicle stock because modifying it is what keeps me interested and keeps the car fresh, otherwise I would get bored after 2 years and trade in on something new which is financial suicide.

No, G.M. doesn't have a hot hatch (i can't remember them ever having one) to compete with Ford. Fiat Chrysler doesn't either. The only reason the Focus RS exists is because of the hot hatch craze in Europe, and Ford does a lot of business there, so it makes sense for them to invest in the R&D. We're lucky to have one finally make it to shore. And it looks like Ford is finally owning up to the head gasket issue.

But to say G.M. doesn't care as much about the enthusiast demo is utter nonsense. Where is Ford's competitor to the Corvette? No such beast exists, unless you try to ply the $500,000 Ford GT as such.

Haha, I know. It's fun messing with them. It was quiet around here for a while. Now, they got bored and came over here.

Oh, haha. I don't visit over there, so I would have no idea. Just reading their YouTube comments and FB comments are enough for me to know what goes on over there on a daily.

But, you have to admit. Anytime one forum is led by thePill, they kind of deserve it. It's the blind leading the blind over there.

No, but even as high as I am right now. My eyes weren't deceiving me cus it looked like a beat down to me. Or, should I believe all of the Mustang fanboys excuses...............let me go down the list.

The R doesn't line up with the Zl1.
The Zl1 was supercharged.
This wasn't a real race.
It was staged.

And there are about 1000 other excuses. But not ONE..............Not ONE Mustang guy actually came out and admitted the Zl1 is just a better car. Period. End of story. And nooooooooooooooooooooow you know why we fuk with ya'll all the time.
