Perhaps...

Quite honestly, I never cared about the Z28 especially since for the money you couldn't get the options added in. I felt like it was a waste of money. I would have bought the ZL1 or GT500 over the Z28.

I’ll be excited to see GM put the LT5 on the Camaros. Or even follow big brother corvette and go mid engine / awd. That will probably put a dagger into these HP power war.

And...the GT500 will not be appearing at the auto show in February. More Ford bullshit.

The Auto Show posted it would be there because they assumed it would. Ford never said it would be there.

More than likely Ford is going to drag it on for as long as they can just like they did with the 18 GT numbers.

The GT500 won’t be available until summer next year.

When Ford confirmed they were working on GT500 they said it would appear in 2019. That means they have until Dec. 2019 to put it to ground. That's almost 2 years. In my opinion they only mentioned it and confirmed it in their NAIAS Press Conference to blunt the press that Chevy is getting with the 750 hp Corvette ZR1. Don't expect to see the car until late 2018 as a Show car, mid to late 2019 as a production car.
