I've got the GM performance exhaust option on my 2018 SS. The different driving modes, combined with the Forza controller I installed, give me the best of all worlds. I can make it quiet for long trips and gnarly whenever if want. For my needs, I can't imagine anything better.

For those that don't want to spend the money on the Forza, you can make your own for under $35. Making my own was my first mod and definitely a must. The NPP valves are closed way too much stock

FWIW The dual mode exhaust seems like a cool idea with stealth mode and whatnot.

In reality I keep the thing in loud mode all the time and now I'm contemplating dumping the suitcase and running straight pipes to the cats to shave weight.

I'm glad I didn't actually didn't pay extra for the option- the dealer discounted it because I was firm in telling them I wanted a stripper SS and this was the closest they had.

Its only $895 when ordered from the factory as an option on the car. NPP can't be installed after the fact and have it functioning as others have stated. I don't think you'd want to install a $2100 factory exhaust and you can't make the NPP function.

If you can't find one with it factory, plenty of good cat back or axle back systems to be had out there

The rear diffuser is also painted black on the SS with the NPP option. Standard exhaust has an unpainted finish. I guy I work with has a 2012 ZR1 100th Chevy anniversary edition Corvette. He wishes his NPP Vette sounded like my NPP Camaro.
