Still probably not. This would be dead last on the laundry list of stuff.

So it's not like the old school pulleys where you can pick up an easy 7-10hp?

It's a %10 under driven harmonic balancer. It probably frees up a few HP.

I would say at best, a light balancer might be worth 0.02 second on a 9-second car.

It would be worth it if you where sitting at 10.0.

But adding it, there is also a lot of variables. It needs to be balance perfect and perfectly attached or you could vibrate your crank to cause failure or upset cam timing. It’s for short time performance like the 1/4 mile drag not for a track car where vibration would most certainly set in.

Above post is right. Are you building a race car?

ATI builds a top notch piece. I would be willing to bet it's a far superior piece to the stock balancer. A lot of LS guys switched to them on higher HP builds. I agree on a bolt on car it's probably a waste of time.

Seen back to back 10-13whp on a few we've done.....still don't understand the "race car" comments? Some what every drop out of HP they can squeeze

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is just the dampener...not the actual underdrive pulley. So you won't get any power without using an underdrive pulley with it right?

So the stock pic just doesn't show the ribbed pulley I take it. Gotcha.
